The story behind this song is:

This song is about a band of thieves who go around killing people, pillaging villages, and stealing stuff, but they justify it in the name of "great justice". One day, they messed with the wrong family, and was captured. They were put to death by being burned at the stake ,but not before having their hands chopped off (no more stealing) and their feet shoved into iron shoes that were literally blazing red hot (hence the song red shoes parade), and then they all died
