(I suck at titles.)
Remember Doktor Flyweel? Probably not >_<
One of the things you have to get very good at very quickly in his profession is getting out of town, preferably with all your limbs attached. He has to do this at leat once or twice a month.
I always forget his tail when I draw him, miserable little appendage that it is. WELL, NOT THIS TIME.
Doing these flat colour backgrounds is fun.
(e: I'm an idiot who forgot to re-enable the lighting layer. Note to self: Do not upload when eyes feel like raisins and forehead keeps hitting keyboard.)

Hahah, I love this character!
Very good work on the background. Very plesant to look at and good/interesting design. Wish the character was done the same way. Now character looks more blurry than the background... Which doesn't help the depth, which you could use when dealing with these kind of chaotic compositions. And good work on composition itself - looks both interesting and balanced.

Thanks a lot for the feedback!
Yeah, I'm not happy with how I render my characters in general... I guess that's what you get when all you do for two and a half years are pencil drawings and linoleum prints (the latter being the technique I derive the background style from)... I'm just scared of starting my images without a solid drawing as base
I'll try some new stuff today, which I'm probably going to hate with a passion, but maybe something will come of it.

Unlike linocuts, you can re-paint and over-paint anything in digital. I think you should really try doing characters the same way. Should bring more unity into your works and look better allround. You can allways start with a drawing, but refuse to stick to it when you see better opportunities available.
