Gosh that's so pretty, I love how smoothly the color transitions and has that under-tone beneath it..

As a budding yarntail enthusiast/creator what brand of yarn do you recommend for a good swath of color options?

Do you buy online or go to a local spot? Do you mix colors together yourself in some magical fashion? It's so awesooome.

If there was a local shop that sold what I needed, I always prefer to support local! (With the exception of Hobby Lobby, don't ever let yourself be tempted into shopping there, they will only use your money to screw female employees out of fair health insurance coverage). With that said, I tend to shop online. There are a lot of places you can buy, I just tend to use knitting-warehouse.com .

As for brands, I use a lot of different ones. Play with some acrylics that have good palettes and see what you like. Just stick with acrylics for your first yarns, you will usually find plenty to work with that are suitable (whereas other types of yarn can be iffy/not brush out well).

All of the colors in this tail are single colors. They are blended to look like this. : )
