He's auditioning to play one of the Greek masks over the stage at the theater in Delphi. It's a good gig (free popcorn) and comes with a great view of the actors.

1) Bobcats are members of the Lynx genus.

2) Like the fog, he crept in on little cat feet. Seriously, he's a total ninja.

Cats are cursed with a permanent smile, which makes their motives always seem suspicious. This fellow, I think, is imagining himself on the cover of Vogue. Either that or he's picturing world domination.

If he were a lynx or caracal, I'd say it was the cover shot. But a bobcat? Definitely world domination.
