Either and or both I suppose, though now I feel a bit bashful since this photo magic has standardized names. Still, new tricks for this dog so teach away -dons his glasses and fetches a notepad-

both are done in photoshop. the border was made by making a marque where you want the border. inverting it. then going into refine edge and feathering it. once you do that. i just erased it. and it faded into the background.

the blur was done manually with the 'blur' tool on the left hand tool bar.

i also removed my badges. if you noticed from the original, that was done with the 'clone' tool and 'bandaid' tool
