One way is to do life studies.

use this and set it to 60 seconds or 5 minutes and just gesture draw the figures.
or draw from life, objects, animals, etc.
You WILL improve.
How to get better at inking, lining, or sketching and stuff.
Take some anime photos, or real life photos, and just trace around the form, you dont have to go balls out with doing all of the detail.
Tracing trains your hand and mind about keeping even lines.

the only reason I improved was cause I got better tools to work with then I had in the beginning.
I can semi cop what I see but if I dont understand how I did it then what good is coping.
and when I try and study something it just doesnt click in my head. Im "those" kind of people :/
