!-Adoptions-! Egg Batch 1
You have taken a wrong turn down and unforeseen path and ended up in a dark alleyway. The cobblestone pathway almost echos your vulnerability with every step as you try to find a way out. Tall buildings obscure your sight to any near exit other than the long, almost never-ending path. Your pace quickens, your heart races. You want to get out. Just as you see the light of dusk spilling from the end of the alley, you go to sprint towards your only hope of escape but are stopped by a tall, rather large stranger.
You bump directly into them, face first before landing square on your ass. Ouch.
Before you have time to react the stranger mumble something under their breath, something almost in another language. You squint your eyes to get a better look but the stranger is hooded and drenched in thick clothing. You part your lips to say something but you see the figure is holding what looks to be a rather large leather sack.
Whoa buddy. You don’t want any trouble. You quickly start to scramble to your feet but not before the large sack is dumped right into your lap with a thud, but you almost think you hear a beautiful chiming sound.
The stranger hurriedly dashes out alleyway without another word leaving you to ponder the contents of the sack as the sounds of his footsteps quickly fade.
The sack itself is pretty heavy, you seem to recall the stranger holding it with quite a bit of ease but the sack seems to strain your arms. Looking around cautiously you gently set the sack down hearing the familiar chimes of the objects inside hitting against one another until they settle against the stone ground. You slightly open the sack, the dark, thick leather making is hard for you to really see anything past the opening. You make one more look around before opening the sack entirely seeing three, rather large eggs nestled at the bottom with some straw and old cloth.
Surprised at what you are seeing you cautiously examine each one.
One. Two. Three. Hmm, nothing else except. Wait.
You find a small piece of parchment paper sicking out on top of out. You decide to pick it up and read it.
Although it’s a bit hard to read it’s a very short note written in fine, black ink.
‘Please provide a good home.’
You flip the piece over in your hand a few times. It doesn't seem to say anything else. You set the message in your pocket and decide to examine the eggs further.
One seems purple...is that fur around it?
There’s a dark one, it looks cracked, I wonder if it’s alright?
Wait....that third one....is that, gold!?
You quickly pick up what looks to be a rare and valuable jeweled egg but the moment it touched your skin, it start to glow a faint pinkish red. Scared, you drop it back inside the sack and as it touches the others they also start to glow strange colors. You quickly close the sack and look around nervously, hoping no one saw. You’re not even sure of what you saw yourself. The coast looks clear so you decide to open the sack again but, what’s this? They’re moving!
You better think fast, these aren't just toys or decorations! You quickly tie the sack back up but this time you hold them to your chest. You start to feel a warmth coming from the sack but this time, it’s a comforting warmth.
Finally outside the dark alley you have a new mission. Get home and keep these eggs safe. Who knows what will come next.
Three eggs acquired.
So I recently have been introduced to the idea of adoptable eggs.
Adopting an egg and having it hatch a little ways down the road. This is such a fun and exciting concept for me that I've decided to try it myself!
What will they become? Stick around and find out!
These here are just test eggs. I will not be selling them
