Well this was a lil something I sketched up late at night while playing around with some brush settings. I like how the fur's sort of turned out here and it's given me some ideas on how to do some fur textures or hair on other art later. Plus would also work nicely for the texture on the synthetic muscle I usually do when I draw characters with artificial limbs.

Anyway no real story for this one but I suppose I can give my opinion on Sasquatch. Do I think it's real? I can't say that it is. Though it would be nice if it were. If it is real than it has to be our closest living relative. Whatever it is has to be somewhere within the human family tree because no other primate has that kind of foot or bipedalism like that. If it does exist my best guess would be it might be an offshoot of Heidelbergensus or for all we know it could be a separate branch which split off sometime around that of Australopithecus. I rather doubt it would be closely related to Neanderthal. Given our close relationship with Neanderthal a big tall hairy ape wouldn't make as much sense. At least not to me. To me if it does exist it's likely a surviving branch of a more archaic hominid.

If it doesn't exist the phenomenon itself is still rather interesting. Perhaps a hold over from a time when many species of men walked the Earth. After all for the longest time humans shared this world with at least 4 other human species. Maybe it's a mix of remembering them in some form the the giant ape Gigantopethicus. Giganto itself is kind of neat as aside from being an ape and knowing what it's general size likely was we really don't know what it looked like as we have very few fossils of it.
