Commission piece for
I was asked for an image of his character unwinding after a day at the beach. And since he's an inflatable, what better way to relax then letting out some air (lol, sorry, I know I'm not funny). But seriously, i was asked to make an image of his character deflating after a day at the beach.
Now, I will admit that I am still getting use to inflatable characters and I'm still working on aquatic creatures as well so this turned into a fun project. Not only did I work on something I'm still learning about, I had to figure out how to let some air out of the guy and still keep it a nice pic. I'd like to thing I did a pretty decent job.
Lighting was new for me too but I did my best and I like it. I hope you all do too.
Once again, sorry for the wait, hope you like it!

I think you did a really great job with this pic - deflation is something that's rarely depicted in art (which is surprising, since it's something that inflatable characters are very likely to encounter!) - even less often is it depicted accurately or believably. This pic not only looks extremely pretty, but I think it's also a great portrayal of how a deflating pool toy character would actually look :)
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
i'm so glad you think so! I really did my best to get the deflation down right and it was pretty tricky because you're right, there are like no pictures of it @.@ but i did my best and i'm glad you think it's believable!
but really, i'm so glad you like it, it really brings a smile to my face *^-^* thank you for giving me the opportunity to draw such a fun character!

I want to agree with
Cyrin here though I am not fond of deflation in inflatable characters (I generally prefer inflation) but this is a rather good and dare say accurate picture of how he would actually deflate. I love the details of how his beak and tail still seem to have air still left in them and stand out from the rest of his deflated body because of such.
