You reward your financial wisdom by getting yourself a much cheaper soda. Not caring that much, you throw a bottle labeled, “Fizzy POP” in bright orange letters into your basket. You decide to drink a little while you walk home. Upon your first sip, you immediately let out a large belch. Surprised, you cover your mouth. This drink really is quite fizzy. It tastes good though, and you continue to drink it. You get home and put away the groceries, only halfway done with your soda. You let out a couple smaller burps, and swig the rest of your drink down, chugging until the bottle is completely empty.
As you swallow the last drop, you start to feel strange. You let out another large belch and feel quite bloated. It soon becomes apparent why. Your stomach has started to swiftly balloon outward, growing larger by the second. As it grows larger and larger, your ears pop, and you feel your limbs begin to swell as well. That drink might have been a bit too fizzy. As your body starts to strain at your clothes, the pressure coming from inside of you starts to hurt. You fill out your clothes at least twice over and they tear, ripping along the seams but not shredding completely. This helps relieve some of the pressure, but even as you realize this the pressure increases, and you can hear the hissing of the gas expanding inside your body. Just before the pain becomes unbearable, and you think you are about to pop, the swelling stops.
All of you is much thicker, your rounded fingers and toes unable to do anything but wiggle, your arms and legs jutting out from your body, having lost most of their ability to move. As you wonder how to get out of this predicament, you let out a tremendous belch that rattles the glasses in the cupboard, and you feel the pressure in your tummy lessen, if only by the smallest fraction. It looks like you are going to be stuck seeing how many ways there are to burp for a while.
