It's so hot in Australia right now! I love this song so much I actually turned off the fans and air-conditioners to hear it properly! One thing I would suggest, and have suggested before, is basing your songs on stories or vice-versa. I like the keychange, but I think you should have woven between keys at stages, going up, down, up and down, like in another one of your songs that as I recall, made me think of something to do with a tall luxurious building. The flowing of the keychanges makes the song a whole lot more interesting to listen to! But it's still a great song! The ostinatos, as I said earlier, make the song have a small tune that if you played back to me, I'd immediately recognize. The drums really add texture, which is their role, but it's funny because I'm now typing to the beat of the song because it is that good. I just can't stop! I love the fact that there really isn't a main instrument for sections of the song, and that sometimes you really have to decide what the main instrument is, altogether! One thing I noticed is that you've mixed more than one meter together. The drums are going "1234123412341234" while the tune is going "12121212" and that is really hard for a musician to accomplish successfully. I did it correctly once, by accident, and the song had a rather hypnotic effect. But most of the time, its really hard to do it and make it sound good at the same time. あなたは素晴らしいです! Another brilliant song, and I'm sure it'd go for money if you sold it!
Seriously, you should get a bandcamp.com account!

Thanks for the crit! I have no idea what you mean by 1234 and 1212, though I'm guesing it's... beats? Like there's 16 in a measure? I'm probably wrong. Anyways, whoohoo for pulling off something I really don't understand! And is bandcamp free? Soundcloud has a limit on the free use of it.
Bandcamp is absolutely free. I think you have to get a paid membership for certain features, but it's still completely usable if you get it for free. That, and you might only get about 95% of what you earn. I don't know. But they're pretty nice about the amount of storage you use, and last time I checked, the page is pretty easy to customize.
As for meter, it's hard to explain. It's not the same as time signature, or beats. But it usually revolves around the time signature. A beat is one section of a bar, which is usually 1 quarter. 4 beats make a bar, in the time signature of 4/4, and 3 beats make a bar in a time signature of 3/4. Then there's 6 half beats in 6/8, but that gets a bit more complex. Meter is simply how it flows. In the beginning of this song, your meter for the leads are 12341234, etc and then the other instrument has a 12345671234567 etc! I might be able to explain better if I had diagrams and MP3's. But fiddling wit your meter and time signature is hard when you start, yet once you learn, it's easy. If you know waltz songs, they're normally a time signature of 123123 (3/4). This song is 12341234 (4/4).
Just keep doing what you're doing for now.
