Lose a body part? Just knit yourself a new one.
9x12, gouache and ink and lots of fun. But I never want to paint yarn again.

Nifty idea... But the little guy seems to be weightless! Was this on purpose? Usually, it seems, you manage to handle the "mass" of the various ocean critters very well.
Then again, this is a YARN animal. I suppose it would be VERY difficult to represent "mass" in a detailed drawing such as this.
That said, +fav.

Well, it really doesn't seems as if he's actually *in* the basket (Acting upon the surrounding objects)... Almost as if he's simply been taped to a picture of a basket (No offense!). Perhaps accentuating the effect the little guy has on the yarn surrounding him? Sorry if this hasn't been helpful... Having a person say "Eh... Its not quite... Curvy/Straight/Large/Small enough" without giving a good explanation can be irritating.
Hope this helped!

I see what you're saying. He's more perched on top, when he could be more... "sunken in" and snuggling with the surrounding yarn.
I think partially it's the outlining I did of him. I tried using thicker lines on the bottom to show weight, and I think it added to his volume... but there aren't any equivalent lines in the basket or yarn. Not sure if that's part of it, but it could be an interesting side-effect.
Either way, thanks very much for the feedback. I'll try to keep it in mind next time I'm drawing something interacting with its environment. :D
