A large part of me wanted to guess it had something to do with trains, like the 'bing bong' our local metro trains have when their doors close. I see it's RO music now but yeah, would explain why the flygon is oh so happy~

All our Metro trains do is do this really high pitched "BEEEEEP BEEEEP BEEEP BEEEEP".

We lack the originality of the rest of the world. Then again, they didn't even used to beep... we ran trains with 100% manual sliding doors until the late 1980s.
