I came to a realisation a couple of days ago. To long I've been trying to look at books for how to do things... and one of my weakest areas (I think) is hands. So... I decided to try and find my own way on constructing them.

Sat down for about 30 minutes on my laptop and OC, and basically modeled and sketched my own hand. I know these are far from the best, and the construction method (the grey lines) is probably a bit to elaborate for hands, but when I looked at my hand... that's how my mind broke it down. Plus... I should be able to morph, proportion, and perspective it a lot easier than just a single box and 5 circles.

If you nit-pick at them... you may notice that the middle finger is shorter than it should be. That's cause my hand IRL is like that. The tip of my left middle finger is gone to the bone (got it slammed off in a door in middle school).

Critique is greatly appreciated if you can see through the sketchyness... ^^;.

Oh... and for the record... I was holding a PS1 Guncon in the upper left sketch... and trying to do the Vulcan "Live long and prosper" gesture in the lower right ^^;.
