I could just live in your art. I could just disappear into it. I know it vexes Jared but honestly..i'd just go there. The people and things there..sure, they're a little nuts but then I am, too. I want to meet these characters..I want to hug them all..especially Jared. He needs hugs more than anyone.

Hun my heart just leaps every time I see you post. Most the time I end up crying. Next time you're with a friend or loved one who you have no problem hugging..please give each other hugs for me. I just hope that life blesses you with the kind of joyful moments that your art gives me I really truly do.

You don't have to say anything. Just keep believing in yourself and doing what you love. Even if it's silly, goofy things, things you might do because you can't think of anything profound or meaningful to post. Things you think might make someone smile, or things you think might help make that pain go away if only you could get the heaviness in your heart to flow through your fingertips into the pen or pencil or brush.

That's cool, how did you do the leaves?

The tree was drawn traditionally and scanned, but the leaves were done in photoshop. I used one of the default brushes and drew the ones in the background first, and then drew on top of the original line art for the ones in the foreground.

I love the mix of traditional and digital. That's kind of what I'd like to do.

Maggot seems like so much fun

Maggot is TOO much fun. XD Like, non-stop, all the time "Let's play hide and seek at four am!" fun.

I guess she does have her moments of downtime, but it's not too often.
