Oh my freakin god, this is gorgeous! *___* I felt the emotions before I even read the description. Man! Powerful! While it's true that it's hard to get turians to emote with their faces, you did FABULOUS telling the story with lighting, posture, and body language. Aaaaaaah my feels ;___; Lovely work!!
And on the subject of wearing through pen nibs, have you looked into getting a protective cover for your wacom? I put one on my Intuos 5 and it DRASTICALLY cut down on nib wear. And I just generally like it a lot more :O
