It's Garr from Breath of Fire III. In the game, Garr's a cool, no-nonsense ancient guardian warrior with immense strength and pyrokinetic abilities.
I made this to try a new technique, but I went off track and ended up with a completely different effect from what I intended. It's also a lot rougher than I wanted it to be. I'll have to give it another shot next time.
I ought to get around to finishing Breath of Fire III.

I was 100% certain you’d draw this guy one day. After seeing your Red Arremer, I thought “there’s that one other gargoyle I can’t remember the name of that would look awesome in his style.” I don’t know what kind of character he is, but, consistently, in all your works, you’ve imbued characters with personality and life, so it’s easy to figure out their character traits. He looks particularly strong and sentient. A gargoyle would have to be, if you think about it. You’ve demonstrated the former with his amazingly huge build that can’t quite be squeezed into the canvas, and the latter with his calm but alert expression. Nobody’s getting past him.
For a game series that focuses a lot on furries for the playable characters, I've seen surprisingly little fanart of BoF here. I've only seen a few of Garr, Rei, Cray, and one or two Rand and Katt. And exactly one Ox. C'mon, can someone give Sten, Spar, and Scias some love?
Anyway, good job on this. Garr is a great character.

The difficulty curve in BoF3 was so insanely high... enemies that could level you in two hits, while you're doing only double digit damage to their seven-digit health. LoL...
The ending was great though. A shame the sprites they used in the end sequence weren't the ones they used in the game (though the game ones were great too!)
