Aww, I am sorry to hear that you get more depressed during winter!
Over here, the grass does not get properly green until May, even if the snow goes away in March. So... the alternative to white snow is not green grass, but rather greyish-yellowish grass, and I think it looks really awful.
The meteorologists just reported today, that during the most recent month, it was the sunniest March since they started keeping track of such things where I live. All that sun certainly made me happy. :)
January and February were unusually cloudy and dark...
