I hate spiders, phobia. But glad you like them.

I think a lot of people are afraid of them because they don't know much about them :) These guys are so calm and sweet, really just one of the best T species out there :)

So, you hate praying mantises and dogs because you love spiders? Humph, interesting. Love mantids <3

When did I say I hate either mantises or dogs? I'd love to have both, my friend has a mantid egg case and will be sending me some babies when they hatch, and I'd have a dog if my landlord would let me have one <3

I've always wanted to get a proper spider. I had one that I caught but it didn't last long :c I do have a snake back at home that my dad rescued from his work site. He's a gopher snake and we've had him for about 6 years now. He was just a baby when we found him and he's a couple feet long now. Anyway. I absolutely hate common house spiders, but I love tarantulas, probably because they're bigger and easier to keep track of and I know they won't randomly crawl all over me when I'm sitting on the couch D:

I believe that most spiders don't live a very long time. I love taking my boy out, he likes to just sit on my hand or where ever I put him. I don't have a problem with pretty much any spider as long as they aren't in my bathroom.

That is typical of some species, but not all. A male rose hair can easily live over a year after his final molt. Most alphonopelma species like these guys will live maybe two, even three years after their final molts as males.

I have all new world species, except for my little Togo Starburst :)
