It's been... a long time, to say the least, since I last uploaded any written work.

It used to be my main way of expressing myself, but then I found the confidence to confide in my friends and loved ones. However, lately I'm feeling things that I can't explain in spoken words.

The person that this poem is about will know who they are when they read it.

What that person needs to know is that I'm trying to put the past behind me, but the recurring broken promises and secrets are keeping me paranoid.

Trust is a hard thing to build, it takes an insurmountable about of time to create, but only moments to destroy.

However, true strength comes from being able to forgive and begin rebuilding. I'm trying.
