So, he didn't want to wrestle. And what did I do? Give him a big wolf hug, of course.

Just a word, Don't try this at home.


This is major dominance to a wolf.

Look at his eye- showing white. That's fear, and just a little twinge of intentional submission to my derpy human will.

Bad, bad idea. With any other wolf this might have ended differently. And I'd have had to stand my ground- hoping he, or she did not become offended enough to tear into me. (And if they did, remain still enough not to feed their aggression.)

I forgot that I was told, "Never give them hugs, and never grab their tails."

This is good, sound advice.


Ears forward: Not paying attention me, he knows I'm derpy mcderp and don't "mean it". Ears are towards the onlookers (Me mum, me brothers and their mates) who are no doubt seeing their brother hug a big wolf. He's thinking, "Dammit, Dave, you're doing it in public! Your brothers are gonna think I'm a beta, now!)

No seriously, that's probably why he never wrestled with me when there were onlookers. He didn't want them to see him allowing me to win XD
