HURR.
This is Devon as a mouse. We have more mice named after all the Waystray party members.
This is also my head. We have more heads named after things unrelated to Waystray.
Humorously, when I put this guy on my head he FROZE THERE and stayed in this pose the whole time.

I kind of like to compare it to owning finches over owning a cockatiel or a parrot. One doesn't need a whole lot of attention and probably doesn't have much interest in you, but are pleasant to have around. The other is more expensive and requires significant socialization and stimuli, but can interact with you on a more significant level.
They're so tiny it seems like their bones shouldn't work! D: And so light the only thing you feel when holding them is vibrating feet. They weight nothing at all.

I've only ever had one mouse brave enough to leap from my hands, and she did it EVERY SINGLE TIME she was held. She was a very brave mouse in general and was often found climbing all over shit that I rarely ever see mice do. They're usually very cautious about trying to get down from places and it's really obvious when they're going to try to. For the most part, they'drather just walk back and forth on your arm and crawl around on your shirt.
I've always been far more concerned about my rats getting away from me, probably mostly because I just let them wander all over the bed or couch I'm on and I've had a couple run off/hide in some shelves. Once, one just rocketed off the couch and smacked right into the wall when I surprised him.
