It would be the perfect time to actually hold one. Make it a bit difficult or odd to enter (ask the person for a ref sheet, the names of three modern capital cities, two time periods, and a funny prank). Some people will dismiss it as an April fool's joke, only to later discover the truth.
seely actually did that like four or five years ago! Me and a bunch of other people got free sketches out of it. Not a bad deal.
