Actually - if the car is modified for rally of any sort (dirt or tarmac) or autocross, the actual top speed is probably lower than you might imagine! Due to the tight and technical nature of the courses on which they race, they're generally built more for quick acceleration than flat-out speed. Still, a Toyota MR-2 of that generation (depending on the country in which it was sold as they're sometimes electronically limited) could likely hit 150mph if memory serves. They're truly wonderful cars!
Oh, I'd expect it. I've noticed acceleration does help alot more in the tight, sharp-cornered races than anything else.
I know a good dirt track too, my dad lives nearby a road which has been used for rally races at least twice. Dirt, in a wooded area, and has a crapload of sharp turns. So this car's a Toyota MR-2? Must research this more...

Yep. Second generation. I want to say the first year that body style came out was 1993 and was offered both turbo and NA. They were known as the "poor man's Ferrari". Not the most practical car in the world, but hugely fun and hard to beat in bang-for-the-buck factor. They're getting harder and harder to find too, and they'll only go up in value as time goes on. Be a good investment if you can find a clean one and keep it that way!
