My Little Pony base is the generation 1 Sweet Heart Sister pose. I switched the heads of two different poses to make a “custom engineered” dynamic alternate pose.
Full body repaint job hand-painted in flesh tone acrylics. Eye are hand-painted in acrylics.
Mane and tail re-rooted on RetrodollsUS saran hair in the colors Candy Floss and Pink Champagne combined with RetrodollUS’s nylon hair in the colors Decadence and Oyster.
Mane permanently styled in my hair gel method.
Started the outfit off with the boots. Cut out circular pieces from beige leather to fit on the bottoms of the hind hooves. Next layer is the tongue of the boots; a pale brown leather. Next layer is thin black deerskin leather for the fronts then a dusty brown leather for the outer portion that wraps around the backs of the legs. Next up I wrapped two lengths of brown hemp over the dusty brown leather. Then a beige suede leather strip material I carefully spliced in halves to make the strips thinner, make the outermost straps of the boots. Rectangular rhinestones detail for the buckles.
Finished with a silver leather strip material also spliced in half for thinning out; lines the bottoms of the boots.
Next up in order of construction, is the skirt. Started off with a pale greenish brownish stretchy material. Cut it in half all the way through the middle, then sewed a hem up to where the tail would poke through then threaded orange hemp for the upper stitch detail. Cut two more slits in the skirt on the sides ¾ of the way up, added small portions of zippers in the slits. Silver beads detail for the zipper heads and zippers are lined with a greenish brown hemp material. Next layer is acorn-colored strip of bear leather for the yellow belt. Bended silver wire with pliers for the buckle.
Top-most layer is a strip of red leather with silver eyelets in it. I cut off the outer edges of the original strip to down-size the detail, then lined it with red hemp cording via fabric glue.
Took the extra strips I cut off the eyelet strip, and wrapped them around the leg for the bag straps.
Red bag on the non-display side of the pony is constructed of real red leather.
Carefully hand-sewn, with more of the left over red strips from the eyelet strap detailing the lining of the bag. Bent wire with pliers to make the buck on the bag. Small portions of zipper detail the smaller compartments of the bag.
Next outfit layer is the beige turtle neck. Hand-sewn gray zipper at the front.
Then constructed the flaps of the coat that are above the skirt from white inverted patent vinyl; shiny side inward. Sewed a thin beige leather strip for the pockets and pocket linings. Beige suede details edges of pockets.
Buckles at middle of the coat are constructed of brown suede leather strips, some metallic silver leather strips cut in thin pieces over-lapping while joining the brown leather strips with a buckle that’s bent from silver wire via pliers.
Belt is brown leather with a strip of brown leather suede and silver wire shaped by pliers.
Front portion of coat has hand-sewn thin beige leather on the inside, lined with off-white bias tape sewn along the collar edges. One buckle on front constructed by the aforementioned method regarding other two buckles below the brown mid-drift belt.
More thin beige leather detailed along the fronts, detailed with buckles shaped from wire and white hemp cording detail.
Left front leg has a sleeve of thin black deer skin leather sewn like a arm warmer. Both front legs have glove gauntlets constructed from hand-sewn navy blue bias tape lined with two layers of maxi piping. Metallic leather silver and gold strips cut into thinner piece detail the gloves with metal gold circle rhinestones.
Bracelets on the right front leg: Top brown one is constructed of individually cut small rectangles from a thin leather and glued into place via Tacky glue.
Bracelet below it is light brown hemp cording with a buckle shaped from wire.
Green shoulder armor on front left leg is constructed from thick beige leather that was painted dark green with a layer of medium gray then metallic peridot green over top. Light gray and light green acrylic detailing over top. Lined with light green hemp cording, neon yellow strips are plastic and there are 4 tiny pieces of dark green rectangular pieces detail cut from a green cob web material.
Cape is a thin faux leather.
