What better package for a Coyote/Silver Fox to show up in than a shiny gold box with a nice cinnabar colored cushion to offer some comfort in such tight places:P The original concept for the boxed icon belongs to 
JC I decided what better way to practice than to try my paw at making my own. A whole lot more difficult than I anticipated but it came together. Still much I need to work on. Probably could've done more things to make it pop out atcha more. As I get more use to the Serif DrawPlus features, I should be able to add more 3D effects in the future. For now, I think this will at the least serve the purpose I want it to serve. That being a super adorable feral Cobalt icon. May have to attempt one with my ottersona Mordecai once things quiet down a bit more on the grad school front. Decided to move this to scraps for the time being having learned the artist still commissions these on occasion. Make no mistake, this was me practicing my paw at doing something similar but I have no intentions of doing these for profit. I'll leave that to JC. They do a far better job with it than I ever could.

I'd appreciate that for I've been wanting to give credit to the one who was originally doing these. Was gonna even commission them but was told by some that the artist, whoever, that may be wasn't doing em anymore so I attempted to do one myself. Though I didn't trace directly as you've implied. I did follow closely as possible their style and want to give them the proper credit since this boxed icon thing was their idea. So please do point me in the right direction of the artist who originally came up with the boxed icons and I'll gladly credit them.
Thank you so much for the info. Believe me I had no intention of stealing and because it turned out fairly well and close, I should've tried harder to find out who the artist was behind the concept and give them the credit they deserved. I'm definitely not a fan of art thieves.
