Danal is a bluntnosed dragon. Bluntnoses have the ability to change their colouration at will. Both sexes have pouches.
Unlike most dragon species Bluntnoses have a mammalian physiology which includes a covering of fur instead of scales. This also means that they are warm blooded .
The triangles under their eyes are sensitive to temperature fluctuations allowing them to"see" infrared the spectrum. but all they can "see" is coloured outlines of temperature. They have razor sharp blades in the bulge it the end of their tail. which can be "unsheathed" by a reflex action if hit hard enough.

Also they are a social species of dragon as they mate for life. both parents carry their young in the pouch. As a rule the female will often give birth to twins single births are rare. Males tend to have longer horns and larger wing spans than females.
