So I took this class! And we had to design these characters! And here we go!

This is Steel. Well, Jane Steel, but Steel to me. She's a cowboy/girl/bounty-hunter-type, and the hero of my story. She's neat. Steel's half native, of some tribe indigenous to the area around the steampunk towns forged in the new frontier, and pretty thoroughly ostracized by the pioneers of said towns, though she tries to live at least adjacent to that world. She has a girlfriend who's a saloon girl, and a sidekick boy who helps her make nice with the law well enough to turn in her bounties and get paid. She's strong and honorable, and not crazy about her native half. Like most of the pioneers, she thinks their culture's pretty savage, and stuff. Particularly that custom they have of transforming themselves into demi-human creatures to become greater warriors. Freaks, right?
