WARNING: Possible nostalgia trip ahead.
FlameTailDratini of the Nintendo Nsider/Loudhouse BBS around the late 90's/very early 00's (I forget when the place shut down) became who you know as Ajin/Ajinryu (the ryu has been dropped for all intents and purposes).
I don't blame Ajin. Look at him! He's a dratini and I made him speshul by adding a blue flame to his tail. But you can't deny that without him, Ajin would probably not be who he is today. And I know two or three people on FA that witnessed the transition so there's no trying to deny it.
A part of me likes to think (and this is most likely true), that all my idiotic escapades (omg I wrote pokefanfics!) are lost to the corridors of time. But of course, there are some things/people I miss about that era. I started to wonder what it would be like to have everyone gather in a room with nachos and dip and see what follows. Ideally a few good times, a few apologies, and one fist fight to settle an old score. That's just wishful thinking though...
After that I think I'd have to attend the BIGMOG.COM and VGMUSIC.COM reunions (HOLY SHIT POWERLORD IS STILL RUNNING THAT PLACE!!!).
Fact: Once in an elevator at a furry con possibly in 2011, I ran into someone and read his badge. The name I recognized was unchanged from the Nsider/Loudhouse: FJMcCloud. Near 10 years after the place closed down. That took me for quite a loop.

My origins in the fandom actually spurred partially from the Nsider forums, I spent a lot of time there when I was young. I actually met 
jennithedragon and 
sagimewtwo from the Hyrule chat room that opened for 2 or 3 hours a day.

AH man, good times. I remember when my Shark fursona started out. Started him based on various things like the Ace Ventura cartoon, then beast wars, Planet Side (an MMO FPS game) and now he's got some influence from Warhammer 40K and MLP.
It's amazing looking back at how our fursonas have evolved over the years. This is a great comparison to that nostalgia.
