*Twitches at the thought of the weight of the SLA battery* no LiFePO4 batteries laying around? May I ask where did you come up with the design for the interlinking tail sections? Otherwise, looking completely awesome!

The whole thing is actually not that heavy. The current battery is a 6v 3.5 amp hour gel cell, I will probably need to upgrade to a Lithium battery of some kind for the power density. The choice of battery was really more of a, "oh, I need to power this in 2 days for a convention.... uhhh.... *calls dad that works for a battery distribution company* 'hey dad, do you have an array of 6v batteries that you could bring by Hammerspace for me to look at to power my tail?'". It was a quick solution.

I designed the tail and printed it on a Makerbot Replicator. The U joint is roughly based off of the U joint used on swiffers.

Holy Cow... didn't see this till now. From a fellow tail builder, I am awestruck. No one's getting in the way of that without a serious whack. I think the spine design is ingenious.

Huh... when don't servos give you trouble? I have a tray full of stripped, burnt to a crisp, maybe good for parts one day, servos.
You wouldn't, per chance, be able to get a few more of those tail segments would you?
