lyx for inspiring this with Ripped Raver Chick... I decided to do a little style surfing myself. Different proportions than I usually use, isn't she cute as a button?!?! ^^ First picture in a LONG time that I've actually drawn for myself! Crazy! No doubt I'll color this eventually.... or possibly other things.
Well, back to the salt mines.

I was 1st 285th Army Aviation in Marana, AZ so I saw more Apache Longbows then A10s, but Davis Monthan AFB opens it's "Boneyard" once in a while, so I've seen them up close (there's also the Pima Air and Space Museum, which is an excellent facility). The damn things take up most of the airframe.

So hey, I got something I wanna show ya. It's called Spice and Wolf. D/L BSS's sub job, quick d/l and they do pretty good. http://baka-updates.com/search.php?.....amp;type=title Horo is absolutely adoreable at times. I'm totally in love with this series right now.

Oh god, I wish I had the time to animate these days... I'd LOVE to. Course, I've only got about three other scripts for short animations in my head already :P

Stop bothering with how and focus on what is. Its a pretty nifty piece. And if thats the gun i think it is its certainly a monster of a weapon.
I also have to say my attention really goes to her belt. Her assault rifle strapped to her back is nifty backup to but i think after swinging those around there wont be much left standing :b. I could definitely see her using those in melee combat like giant ton fa.

A friend of mine who was a weapons troop had that big piece of perforated metal at the GAU-8's muzzle as a souvenir. His dad sold it at a swap meet without him knowing. Needless to say he was pissed.
Great Picture. It looks totally believable (in a fantasy sort of way) that she is actually hoisting those things. The ammo belt is a nice touch too.

I can has bulletz? She's gonna need some more ammo for those things! Also, this is probably the pic with the cleanest, most well-drawn lines I've seen in a long time. A sign of true talent is when you can evoke a good sense of depth and mass without using shading, I think. You've done a damn fine job on this picture!
I say, you Canadians aren't supposed to like playing with guns. Michael Moore even says so, the fat bastard! Why, the last time the Queen (God save the Queen!) let you play with guns you didn't do anything productive at all, like shooting beavers and moose and all that rot. A beaver is a terrible thing to waste, quite!
They may be our national animal, but they're all we've GOT to shoot at. If you were infested with large, water-logged rats who knock down your beautiful trees, you'd let loose a few rounds too I might say! Not supposed to like guns? Bushwa! Didn't do anything productive? Poppycock! I think we've done some brilliant things with them, 1812 ring a bell? Oh, you overly ambitious Americans, you haven't changed a bit!
But in all honesty, I admire your concealed weapons permits... All the restrictions we've placed on weapons hasn't done anything to slow down the illegal use of them. It's the sane people who could pass the testing and acquire the licenses for those things that society needs to have packing heat for when some nut-job with an illegal rifle goes on a rampage.

That's a very entertaining experiment, and she definitely takes the cake as a recoil queen.
You only mention the differing proportions, but...I dunno, you don't usually seem to be 'stuck' in a given set of proportions and poses like some artists are. This has an overall toonier feel than some of your work...But not all of your work. I could still tell it was yours even if there wasn't an icon/label.

Haha, I used a ruler for the gun barrels, just makes things easier. Matter of fact, the longer curving lines in her tail I used a flexible curve for. Normally I do all my curved lines by hand, but this time I grabbed one of those things and it made life a LOT easier, and easier is better, right?
