Yup, I like him. He's a nice guy but incidentally a villain by circumstance.

so it's a love triangle(square?) situation?

Garret wants Rain sexually but has an emotional attachment he doesn't understand yet.

Tim wants Rain romantically but is afraid to ask even though hes more obvious than an elephant in a puppy pen.

Rick will be introduced later as essentially the 'perfect match' for Rain. They have similar personalities but Rick will have a more charismatic and subtle approved to snatch up Rain.

If Garret and Tim don't work fast to mature their intentions then they'll miss the opportunity to seize Rain for them selves.

In shorthand, Tim is too shy, Garret is too forward, but Rick is just write and that's Tim and Garret's key point in their develoupment.

Oh also...

Rain has a girlfriend he's been seeing for a few months. That's another obstacle :P
But i already know how that works out and it will make Rick seem almost evil to the readers
