Meet Alare,

One of the twin progenitors of my race of plant people the Kasvane
He carries within him and is the source of the golden life bearing sap of his kind. Charged with the power of the sun to bring health and vitality and encourage growth. He is special as he is the only one to carry this type of sap alone as all their children carry both.

As you can see he's got deep rich purple skin to aid with Photosynthesis, it is smooth and slick presenting a supple surface to the sun and to aid him in wriggling beneath the soil should he wish. His legs slowly transform into root like tendrils instead of feet that help to anchor him to the ground. And yes as the tag says he is a hermaphrodite. Considering he's a plant it's hard to assign him a sex but he has male and female parts as and when he needs them to germinate seeds and prepare pods to transform other people.

His back-vines are narrow and slender and can adjust their length as required. They are not as strong as his pod-mates, it takes more of them to carry him aloft through the trees. But they are twice as flexible and can release a potent cloud of pollen or stream of sap to help him subdue dangers or lure prey into their traps.

I should note he actually has ten back vines but two of them are wrapped about his waist. The leaves of his kilt are actually part of his body, grown out from the lowest back vines. They aren't intended as clothing they are an effective screen of camouflage that can be spread wide to help him hide. They are just easier to carry wrapped about his waist thus forming an impromptu kilt.

Alare's head flower is yellow to reflect the potency of his seed and he has a gentle, playful and mischievous disposition and loves nothing more then to play and have fun in the sun. Spread his roots deep and lure new victims into his sphere of influence so they can join the Kasvane and expand the influence of his people.
