Meet Kriner,

One of the twin progenitors of my race of plant people the Kasvane
He carries within him and is the source of the purple sap that carries the mineral strength of the earth, rising from the roots to make strong and durable bodies. He is special as he is the only one to carry this type of sap alone as all their children carry both.

As you can see he's got deep rich purple hide that is rough and bark-like, a solid natural armour that helps to protect him. This reduces the amount of light his body can absorb but this is compensated by the wider, larger leaves that crown the back of his head. His legs slowly transform into root like tendrils instead of feet that help to anchor him to the ground. And yes as the tag says he is a hermaphrodite. Considering he's a plant it's hard to assign him a sex but he has male and female parts as and when he needs them to germinate seeds and prepare pods to transform other people.

Kriner's back vines are strong and sturdy, less flexible and changeable than his Pod-Mates they have the strength to club an adult unconscious and as single vine can hold his body suspended from a tree all by itself leaving his others free to do other things. They can also shoot spines from the tips that can deliver a variety of toxins from paralytic agents to poisons and concoctions that can send people wild with a feral lust or berserk rage.

Unlike Alare his fingers are covered by stiff hairs, each digit a miniature stamen from which he can dust pollen and also grip and stick himself to any surface as well as use them in the process of subduing enemies of the Kasvane. Clamping his hands over their nose or mouth allows him to just fill their senses with his pollen quietly and stealthily.

Like his Pod-Mate Kriner also has ten back-vines though the lowest two are covered in short frills which can be fired from his vine to embed in nearly any surface and quickly spread to form a spiny, cactus like shrub to act a a shield of impediment to approaching dangers. He also tends to keep them wrapped about his waist unless he is using them.

The flower crowning his head is a deep purple pitcher plant and it exudes a rich scent that can lure in most insects as well as produce some foul smelling stenches that will drive people away. Kriner's attitude is tougher and he is driven to protect Alare and to lead their larger children as an effective and protective force. He has a deeply caring attitude however and he loves the woodlands and their natural home almost as much as he cares for his mate Alare.
