What does it mean, to resonate? Musically, if something resonates, you could say it rings out, in the most literal sense of the word, like the opening keystrokes of this song. It can also mean that it evokes an appropriate response in the person that is listening.

I always hope that my music resonates with those who listen to it, but it isn't always the case. This is only a small part of what I want this album to be about.

People, places, things.... those that I resonate most deeply with. People like Equus, my firedog Cinder.... places like beachside on the ocean, or underneath the moon in the high desert in Nevada. Things like the most basic of elements, Water...

But also emotions. Negative emotions resonate with me so much easier with me than the positive ones, I've found. It is so much easier to be violent, cruel, unforgiving; so much easier to say I'll die when I snap and do something rash. These things create vast waves on my consciousness. By contrast, things like an "I love you", or "Please be safe", or "I loved that song" or even "I'm listening" seem to barely make a ripple.

I know I am broadcasting to the "wrong" crowd entirely. As it stands, furries are hip to the electronica. And yet, I feel this is where I want to be. This is where my family was, and I think still is.

So I invite you to join me, my friends; these are the things that resonate with me, and through me, I will share them with you. I hope you'll come along.
