Thanks! Whenever I was reading I pictured something large, hulking and powerful, would kind of have to be to keep an entire civilisation under seige for as long as they did. So, as I was sketching away this came out!

The original design for Uruk was something liek this, actually. They were more "pig-like" in their appearance, though certainly this large. The current variation the story is using is half this size because they are being mass produced by the starving Asuna. They are a little more simple because the Asuna that are pushed into the work camps are hardly the kind of artisans that would be required to make this terrifying monster.

This is exactly what the dark Avatar envisioned though, and far more similar to what is guarding him at home. A smaller, simpler variant can hold back the Asuna and Amani cultures with just the presence of great numbers, but these... these would protect the dark citadel at Gize quite nicely...

ahh, athankyou! i might have to do a concept for the simpler variants... and yeah, I remember in the story the description changed a few times, I went for the one in which you wrote that they looked like heavily deformed lupines. I just envisioned it as being the change in how the asuna crafted them over time or the like. or different versions etc. I had even toyed with the idea of putting designwork like filigree or something on them, but decided agaist it since theyre mass produced it wouldnt make sense.
