Hector plays interrogator, using electricity to loosen the Sirenidae's tongue.
(edited Commentary)
on earth the Creature's name by body structure and amphibious nature alone is a Sirenidae, a salamander with only a front pair of legs (and it actually exists!) This alien version obvously is no relation but it would be classified as such. On the home planet the inhabitants are largely amphibious it is only in coming to earth that the "greater" races have adopted human forms. The other races that serve as Titan's own minions are similar to sentient beasts. The Sirenidae is one ofthe smallest of these and is used primarily for espionage and even at times assassination.
On the home planet they are found in the wild and tend to be about as social as Frogs or toads and speak thier own language through squirrel like chatter and have very high pitched voices. Raised in metropolitan areas they're mostly regaurded as we regaurd rats but with the ability to parrot words and phrases and if allowed to work closely with the more dominant races, can learn to speak other languages. They are very often domesticated and make good, if a little annoying, pets, because as such they are quick to learn the language of thier owners and in turn learn to communicate with them. The military Bred Sirenidae are sleeker, thinner and more agile versions of the domestic breed and lack the cosmetic "fur" that was bred into them by domestic breeders. In the wild the sirenidae does have a sparse coating of fur which acts like jellyfish barbs when it is touched, the domestic breeds have the fur bred to be harmless and longer to add to the appeal of pet owners, while the military breeds have had it removed altogether to keep them from stinging thier handlers and to keep them more adept at swimming through pipes. their fur has been replaced instead by harmless mucus secreetions that make it hard to grab them should they be caught.
Thier name on the home planet translates roughly into "quicksilver" or "mercury" as that is what they resemeble when swimming in schools in the wild.

This scene cemented it. I freaking love Hector. He's def. one of my fav characters and I totally picture him with Jeremy Irons's voice and if that's not canon it should be. (I'm kidding. It's your story you do what you want, just throwing out that idea)
I'm so glad I decided to give this comic yet ANOTHER attempted read-through. Hopefully this time I'll actually read more than I did and not STOP READING IN THE FRICKIN MIDDLE OF IT AND STUPIDLY FORGET TO BOOKMARK MY SPOT IF I DECIDE TO TAKE A BREAK!
*ahem*
Loving it so far as usual Fox! I'm so excited to read this in its entirety.
Also dat face when Hector first shocked him KILLED me.
Seriously, you draw expressions perfectly. HOW?! TEACH ME YOUR WAYS! Expressions are SO hard. Especially when you're drawing characters with muzzles. Any advice on that by the way? A friend of mine told me to use refs from animated screencaps (Lion King, Balto, yadda yadda) and try putting the expression of the characters on my own or just do some studies. Is that how you learned as well?
(Oof. Sorry this comment is so long. Next one will be shorter, I promise)

I can give you a crash course onit in stream next time you attend but it is very much looking off of other anthro art and just getting used to how anthro faces are constructed and sort of folding it the expression around the muzzle if that makes any sense. Smaller expressions fold less, bigger expressions fold more.
Hmmmmm.........I think I understand what you mean. I'm still gonna do studies of other artists work (and credit them if I ever post them online because I give credit where credit is due) and anthro animal animated movie screencaps as I said above JUST to get a feeling for it, even if it's very slight.
Thank you so much for the feedback. I actually think I understand how to do it now.
Also because I'm polite, may I use your work as reference material? I promise to credit you if I post them online and even on the page in my sketchbook because I was born with manners and stuff.
