Some tiny furries sneak into the dressing room after the football match to praise hat-trick hero Rexar. Seems however that Rexar requires his talented million-pound feet to be shown a little more gratitude than they were bargaining for...
Anyone who knows me well around here knows I'm a crazy football fan (that's football in the European sense... or soccer as you Americans like to call it... ). The same people who know me will probably also be aware that I'm a crazy paw fan too. So I'm not really sure why it never dawned on me any earlier to combine the two - a hot, tired Rexar putting his sweaty feet to good use on the field, then putting them to even better use in the dressing room afterwards! Lol! I'm sure a lot of paw fans will enjoy this one, including the sock fans who might rather enjoy seeing one of the tiny furries nicely snuggled between his toes inside his thick football sock... while he gently rocks his bare left foot back and forth on top of the football to roll the other little furry (which just happens to be Mike again) in and out from under the steamy sole...
...mmm.... that's getting me going just thinking about it! Lol!
I'm really pleased with how this pic came out. I think it might be my best to date. The sock texture was a lot of fun to play around with, as was designing the boots and the shirt. I also went to much more effort with the background - something I don't do very often! The geometric pattern of the football was a pain in the arse (as you can probably well imagine) and I'm still not convinced it's right, but who really cares anyway. Lol! As demonstrated by much of my recent work, I'm still experimenting with more ambitious angles and it was never my original intention to go with this one, but the desire to get the socked foot right in focus just kinda lured me into using this view!
For those who are slightly more sport-savvy, it might not have escaped you that Rexar is sporting an England football kit - well, I am a patriotic fan, after all! If only Rexar did play for England. Maybe then we might have bloody qualified for Euro 2008.

I'm not sure why it wasn't always one of mine - guess I've never really thought about my characters being footballers... and let's face it, I'm not likely to sit fantasising about being in Peter Crouch's socks or something...
>shudder!<
Lol! Thanks, Chase!

Generally i hate arts focused on socked feet (because i love too much exciting bare feet) ... BUT
1) RRRex's arts are RRRex's arts!
2) Perspective is really really good
3) I can 'see' mithical Rexar's sole behind the sock. His foot 'come out' from sock very very well, i really appreciate it
4) Little furry into sock is really lucky and so excting for me
5) I really love your idea of Rexar that relax his sore feet with poor-lucky little furries
6) I love football too (i'm italian...)
Finally, i love this art too.... Rexar, you are incredible: you are the first that made an art about socked feet that really exciting me! I'm glad to be your #1 fan, and you know why... ;)
P.S. What's your favourite football team RRRex? I wanna talk about football with you!
P.P.S. What Rexar's number on his shirt? 6? 8?

...you're into football, Giran? How the hell did I not know this already?!! Lol! There seem to be so few football fans in the fandom!
Well I mention it on my site - I'm an Ipswich Town fan - but I suppose that's a discussion we can have on MSN or something... hmm... interesting...
Anyways, regarding this piece and your general dislike of socked feet - may I remind you that Rexar has two feet busy in this picture...

Oh, and I think it was meant to be a 6. No idea why - I think I was originally planning to put something clever like 65 (cos this will be the 65th gallery piece on my website) but it didn't fit, so I left it at 6.
Not that 6 is really a striker's number, but hey, let's say Rexar's so good with his feet that he scored a hat-trick from midfield.
Lol!!

Really? I thought 5 was the last defender (as in back four of 2,3,4,5) but never mind.
I honestly haven't thought about it. Somewhere between attacking midfield or striking, probably - anywhere where he can be deadly with his feet from.
...which potentially covers the entire stadium.
Lol!

Oh Gods that's so hot! :) *sneaks in as well and nuzzles into that socked sole*
Seriously, this pic pushes quite a few of my buttons, and the texturing on the sock is really great, too! I also like the pose of the foot on the ball as well, and that evil grin you've got. Great stuff!

Another art, another creativity from you, another idea for me and my fantasy, more I know about you. Nice art and drawing, great expresion and greatsituation, football after all that i don't kinda like, hehe, well but what I like is Rex and his huge scaly feet. Kinda love the stuff that you typed about pic and interests.
Socked feet, no I don't like them and never will, but think this is first art that i will like with socked ones, like Giran said. Proud to be your fan too, you are one of the best.

Well... Rugby UNION is different from Rugby League. And not completely different. They're quite similar except Rugby League has a 5 tackles system which is in some ways similar to the downs in American Football, whereas in Rugby Union, you just keep whacking into each other and chucking or kicking the ball around until something happens.
And I prefer the latter.
Lol! :)

>>; Darnit, you made me pop a boner with my family running around... must... not... fap... in front of family.... *DROOLS* Is he gonna flatten that one little fur into the ball? I doubt the one in that sock's gonna last too long. ;) but if you're gonna go... man that's the way to do it...
This is definitely one of your most fantastic pictures ever. Two thumbs and ;) something else ;) up!

Heh - I rather enjoyed that part, and I'm very pleased with how it came out.
My Paint Shop Pro software comes with a selection of textures for different tools to apply. I managed to edit one of the rather crappy fabric textures to make it the right size, shape, angle and colour, then I just kinda strategically sprayed it on. It was actually surprisingly easy! Lol!

Well unfortunately you're asking someone whose animating experience comes only from Jasc Animation Shop as opposed to anything fancy like Flash. And with something like Animation Shop, you basically need to redraw whatever it is you want to animate again and again and again making small adjustments each time. The easiest way to do that (though no way is particularly easy) is to use layering.
If you want proper tips on it, give me another shout and I'll note ya about it.

Interesting, im totally not a fan of socks or shoes but i can inmagine the scene.
The whole football theme is also very interesting, now i knew you were into football and i sorta expected it to come this way. Not really my game..Hmm...can you get booked for popping the ball? If not count me in..ill be the goalie *Grins*
In any case keep up the good work and i hope to catch ya online some time to discuss football, paws and other stuff.

I am indeed British born and bred, though a lot of people seem to think I'm not. Maybe that has something to do with the overwhelming quantity of people from across the Atlantic in these communities, plus the fact that I've been calling Rexar's trainers "sneakers" just to fit with the crowd! Lol!
Maybe we Brits all need really obvious names like yours! Heh!
Not a pawfan? Fair enough, but thanks for waving the little Union Jack our way! Always helps me locate the odd few!

It's known as the magic of... total non-reality!!
:-D Lol! They should. They should rip right through the damn things. But then all the wonderful steamy air wouldn't be trapped inside. And that, I'm sure we can agree, would not be as much fun for the guy inside. Whoever the hell he is.
In actual fact, those claws are way too short on the socked foot, but I didn't wanna make them any longer cos it looks a little silly already. I don't mind stretching the laws of physics, but stretching the socks quite so far would make it look ridiculous.
Lol!!!

That is some good foot right there! I formally must introduce myself. I am Raysuko Icehart! When it comes to feet, I love them to bits! I love them soft, sweaty soles myself. *Laughs* I must say, your art is very good! Also, a very big turn on too! *Winks* I am a artist myself, but not that good yet. I have yet to submit any feet.
Making feet is kinda hard for me. I can only do so much with what I know. I was wondering if you can tell me, or point me to, something that can help with making feet. Maybe you have some good referances? ^.=.^

Heh - that's something I'm working on, actually; I run the Art forums at paw-fetish communityEccentricities and I recently started up an Artwork Know-How section which I'm hoping will eventually include these kind of pointers.
When I get the time to do them, that is...
Lol! Thanks anyway! Nice to meet you.

Not sure what you mean by "finish the Art section" - the Artwork forums at Eccentricities have always been there, it's just I took over them as moderator in November last year and then was promoted to Head Moderator so I could revamp them in January this year. The Artwork Know-How forums are also already there and up-and-running; I'm planning on putting some tutorials in them once I get the time, but up to now there's only a few posts in them.
I'd recommend joining Eccentricites though if you're a serious pawfan. You'll need to register before you can see the actual forum content because it's hidden from guests.
And you're welcome.

I dunno, maybe.
Well seeing as you're not quite 18 anyway, I would personally ask that you don't use your account just yet. It's part of the forum's policy that we accept no responsiblity for misrepresentation of age.
Not to sound like a total ass rule-junkie or put you off visiting, cos I'm sure you'll enjoy it, but we've gotta be careful about this kind of thing.

This pic is cool, i love the soccer too much, and Rexar look very good wearing a soccer uniform, an the socks details is excelent, I can see how sweaty are the foot of Rexar...
AWWW, I want to be in that sock: "A sticky and smelly foot, a sock pushing deeply in that sweaty foot... (sigh) if i can only be in that sock.

This is one of my favourite pieces of your artwork! This looks sooo smexy!
I'm gonna just declare that I am the lucky fur trapped in Rexar's sock, stuck against his huge, incredibly musky sole...*sniffs* Mmmm....
Well, I'm definitely there in my dreams and smex fantasies...and if it isn't me, I will stow away in Rexar's sock drawer until it is me! I must be trapped inside his sock with his gorgous feet!

I would so be in either place! "Either in the sock or where mike is"
It took me a good 3 minutes to notice the furry in the sock, because I thought it was just a little wrinkled. But then the outline of a dog came to my mind then boom light bulbs.
