I love how quick these are. Even a normal, simple furry picture takes pretty much all day to draw, often more than an entire day. There's no messing around with these though, I can just sit down, find a picture and bang it out on a couple hours. Good stuff.
This one came out a lot better than the first did. The water still needs a lot of work, and there's a bit too much contrast between what's above and below the waterline... things to figure out. Expect my next few pictures to all have water in 'em 'till I get this figured out. :P
Other than that and a few other small issues, this one's looking alright I think. Lemme know your thoughts, folks!

I was thinking about it, but I can't seem to find a picture here on FA that I both like, and feel capable of doing. x3 Seems like landscape photography isn't the most active genre around these parts, as I don't often find a whole lot to work with when I do searches as specific as that one.
Finding a photo of a river in the forest on it's own isn't too tricky... finding one I might actually be capable of painting is another issue entirely. So don't go too far out of your way, because I can't promise I'll be able to make use of anything you give me, but if you can take a few shots without too much trouble it'd be fun to take a look at them and see what I can do. :P
I love doing landscape shots! I'm not sure if any of these would be helpful for you or not but you're welcomed to use them. I still have the original images too, they're like 5,000x3,000 or something close to that if you need a larger version. I'm always trying to take pictures whenever I can it's a lot of fun!
Somewhat counter intuitively, less is often more when it comes to watercolour refs. Being over focused on details will distract you from the bigger picture, so I often find myself trying to blur my eyes when looking at a picture to keep me focused on the overall look. Smaller pictures suit references just fine. :P
There's a few nice images here- the waterfall one is particularly nice- but I don't know if I'm capable of something like that just yet. I've never been very good at rocks. x3 I may revisit that picture though if I find myself more comfortable with that sort of thing, it's a good one.

Hmm, another good piece. I would point out though, the forested bit on the left hand side could do with a bit more definition - by which I mean softer gradation of the colours. The foreground green is a bit starker than the rear forest. Perhaps a shade of the greens on the right would do to soften up the transition?
Other than that, I enjoy the composition. The style you're doing these in is very nice indeed!

Yeah, there are definitely contrast issues in the foreground forest area. Watercolours are a fickle mistress... the colour you put them down as is never the same as the colour they dry as, so you have to compensate. Put them down as the colour you want, and they'll dry far too light. Put them down a bit darker than the colour you want... and they'll still dry too light. Put them down considerably darker than the colour you want, and there's a 50/50 chance it'll either dry way too light or way too dark.
I'm convinced there's really no way to get the colour you actually want, you just have to make due with whatever the water gods give you. x3

There's an extremely limited range of things I could draw right now, and even those aren't coming out all that great. I've got lots to learn about landscapes first. :P
And I suspect that if I did do landscape commissions they probably wouldn't go as quickly as normal ones, so you'd probably be fine. Porn is a lot more popular. x3
