Well here's part 3. I hope you like it so far. Also I may not update this every single day. I've just had a lot of time to write lately. I won't always have that much free time. By the way, here's a link to every part so far:

“These donuts are great. I'm glad I made them before I left.” You might call them rice balls. But in the Kanto region we call them donuts. They're a common desert food here, even today. My Pokemon enjoyed them too. Especially Pidgey who was trying to recover some of his strength after his capture. He was still really weak but he'd feel like new again when we got to the next town. He warmed up to me really quick.
“It should be time to get moving again soon. What do you think?” They agreed with me. It was getting later in the day and I wanted to make it before nightfall. Before long we were moving again. Route 1 turned out to be longer than I thought. And that person was still following me. I still haven't seen them yet but I definitely heard them a lot. But I pressed on.
I saw someone on the side of the road. They were taking a break like I was before. He and his Pokemon were sitting down to a snack. He had a Pidgey and a Ratatta and they both looked like they were in good shape. He smiled at me. “Hey there, stranger! You're a new face around here. What's your name?”
“My name's Red. What's yours?” I could tell I was going to like this guy. Interesting, loved to talk, and I could tell he'd been in a battle or two.
“I'm Jimmy. I train in these parts. It's a nice little spot. Lots of wild Pokemon to fight. By the way, these are my Pokemon, Ratta and Pidge.” His Pokemon said hi to me in their own Pokespeaks.
“Nice to meet you. Hey, you wouldn't happen to know how close the next town is, would you?”
“Oh, sure! Viridian City is that way. It's not much further. In fact if you look waaaay down there, you can see the tip top of the Pokemon Center.” He pointed North. “But if you're not in too much of a hurry, how about a friendly Pokemon battle?”
“I don't see why not. I just caught my Pidgey so it's pretty weak right now. But I can fight with Bulbasaur.” I took out my Pokeball. “It could be a one on one battle.”
“Sounds good to me. I'll choose Pidge.” He nodded to his Pidgey and it hopped out, eagerly and flapped its wings. I chuckled at and called out Bulbasaur. I'd fought one Pidgey with no problem so this one should be a snap. “You can start if you want. I like to give people a sporting chance who are just starting out.”
“Okay then. Thanks a lot. You heard him Bulbasaur. Let's start this thing with a vine whip attack!” Bulbasaur extended his vines and got ready to snap them towards Pidge but there was nothing to snap. Because it was suddenly gone! Before Bulbasaur could figure out what happened, Pidge appeared behind him and scratched with his talons! “Bulba!”
“That, my friend, is Pidgey's Quick Attack. No matter what, that will always attack first. Too bad your Bulbasaur doesn't know any speedy moves like that.” It seemed with a move like that, there was no hope for a victory this time. Unless I could get that Pidgey tied up.
“Bulbasaur! Try to get that Pidgey tied up! If you can predict where he's going to be, you just might be able to take him down!” Bulbasaur started looking around like he was carefully considering his next move. Jimmy looked confused as to what was going on. Bulbasaur sent his vines for Pidge again. This time I watched carefully. It didn't actually disappear instantaneously. It moved to its left so quickly that it couldn't be seen if you aren't paying close attention. I think Bulbasaur noticed this too, because he whipped his vines around to his right to try to catch it. It didn't work, of course. It was still to quick. It did however keep Pidge from attacking.
He tried the vine whip again to get Pidge moving. From what I could tell it did the same thing as before. “Bulbasaur, swing your vines in the opposite direction!” He did as I said and did a full two-seventy in the other direction. This time he hit something. It was Pidge of course. He managed to get his vines around and trap it so it couldn't move and slammed it into the ground. Jimmy couldn't speak though his mouth was wide open. By the time he let go, Pidge was in such a daze he couldn't even stand up straight, let alone use Quick Attack. “Great job, Bulbasaur! You almost have him!”
Jimmy's eyes were huge. He wasn't expecting this at all. He took so much pride in that attack and now it meant nothing. I found a way to defeat it. He was speechless. “I....ugh...you can't do that!....P-Pidge! Can you hear me?” It tried to clear its head by shaking it. It regained its bearings some but it was in no shape to use that attack anymore. “Pidge! Hang in there! Do you think you've got it in you to use Gust?” Staggering, Pidge tried to get into the air and flapped with all its might. The air in front of it started to swirl. It was forming a small tornado. When the tornado reached full speed, it headed in Bulbasaur's direction. He tried to dodge but it was no use. He got caught up in the wind and got thrown around and into the air. “Bulbasaur!”
Luckily he landed on his feet, however he wasn't focused on Pidge and found his way into another scratch from Pidge's sharp talons. Bulbasaur cringed and fought back with a tackle knocking Pidge down. “Alright. It's time to end this, Bulbasaur! Use vine whip one last time.” He wrapped his vines around Pidge who was still on the ground but before anything else happened, Jimmy interrupted.
“Stop! The battle's over! You win, Red.” I could tell he really wanted to win but he also worried about his Pokemon. He could see that Pidge wasn't going to be in good shape if it went on any further. It appeared I had to learn to restrain myself. He ran over and crouched next to Pidge to make sure he was okay, then he looked up and me and stood up. He smiled. “You're good for a rookie. You just started, you say? Where are you from?”
“This was my second trainer battle. And I came from Pallet.” I expected him to be livid with me for beating up his Pokemon. But he wasn't. He cared but he knew I was only starting out. “I guess I have to learn some restraint, huh?”
“Oh it's alright. That's what Pokemon battling is all about. You just got in a lot of lucky hits. No harm done. I did say he had to go to the Pokemon Center anyway. C'mon! Let's go there now!” He called both his Pokemon and grabbed his pack.
“Okay. Thanks for the battle.” We didn't worry about prize money since it was just a friendly battle. I was pretty happy with myself. I'd only been a Pokemon trainer for a day and I was already the winner of two battles.
While we walked the rest of the way to Viridian, I pondered while we weren't having a conversation. I thought about what Blue must be doing right now. What my mom must think after reading that note. She knew I was going to leave at some point. She probably didn't know I'd leave without saying anything though. I thought about my two new Pokemon and the adventures we were going to have. I thought about me. Where would I be in a few years? Would I ever return home? It's amazing what you think about when you've got time. None of that stuff mattered right now though. Because I was passing through the gates to a new town and a new adventure.
