So on April 1st, there was a nation-wide contest hosted by Potatohead Signs and Liberty Tax Service for the best sign waver. Verlis, who believes he's the best signholder ever, works for Liberty Tax and participated in the contest to show off his skills and prove his stuff. He isn't some boring guy who sits there and rocks back and forth... no, he really gets into it with fancy tricks, shuffle dancing, and being crazy. Crazy awesome that is.
We found out the results yesterday... so congratulations Verlis on winning 1st place in the Liberty Tax 2013 signholding contest- you're officially the best waver in North America!!!
I filmed, edit, and even star in the video, check it out!!! 8DD >>>Click to watch!<<<
(2min 20sec)
(And go like him on Facebook... because he's special like that-> Liberty Gold Spinner)
This pose is actually significant because not only did he actually strike this pose (I referenced a still frame from the video to draw it) but we're fairly sure this pose won him the contest because it is the pose the guy in the contest's logo was striking with the sign, you can see this logo in the first few second's of the video to see how close he tried to get it. We looked at this logo and thought, "wft clip art- there is no way someone can actually strike that pose." And then Verlis proved us all wrong.
So when I found out he won, I drew this as a surprise gift for him before he got home from work. It went over quite well :>
Oh you and your neon shirts Verlis... ;p
