This is one of the funniest one pagers Schirm has ever done, and heartfelt as well. I remember him showing me the original hot off the drawing board and asking my opinion. As well as the above, I said I found the language fascinating. What did I mean, he asked. I pointed out the expression "very deep dish" which I found instantly comprehensible, but had never heard before. Evidently he thought it a well known expression, and perhaps it was... forty or fifty years ago. It seems to me that Schirm picks up a lot of his expression -- lingistic and visual -- for past eras, and that its much of his charm. He wanted to change the panel but I insisted it be left just as it was.
