So me and some friends will be attending animazment this May. One of my friends is cosplaying as a pokemon trainer (the female trainer from version black & white) and I will be suited up as her devious Zoroark companion. I've decided that, while I won't stray far from a Zoroark's distinguishing characteristics, I'm going to go for semi-realistic look. This head isn't ready for fur just yet but its pretty close.
Head Features:
- Fan in the muzzle
- Moving jaw
- follow-me resin eyes

If you're going for realistic the best way is to make resin eyes. You can find some instructional videos on youtube for most of the process, but I've found that the videos never mention this trick, when you paint the eye, use metallic style colors or else the eye will look very flat. Of course if you don't intend to make fursuits regularly you could just buy a pair pre-cast resin eyes rather than make dozens. You can find these on furbuy sometimes, but you can also buy them from dreanvisioncreations.org and the best thing about buying from there is that you can get the eyes with a pupil already painted on, which is the hardest part about resin eyes. You'll probably need practice painting realistic eyes before your satisfied with the results, but if you decide to just buy a pair, you can always wash the paint off of the resin and reuse them.
