Well, maybe not simple exactly. Everything on this account is experimental - "what does this combination of layer blending modes do?" - so it does require quite a lot of mucking about. But it's fun to do!

'Post-porn' is the same sense as 'post-rock'? Or is there more to it? (Googling 'post-porn' gets one a lot of stuff about quitting and recovery, which doesn't seem quite apropos.)

I stole the phrase "lo-fi post-porn alt-art" from  paranoidfurfagoid, but I can't recall what context it was originally made in. It just sounded good. The first handful of images on this account were deliberately mock-porn, but I gave up on that pretty fast. Still, there is a lot of naked Pandy Panda in this gallery.
I suppose the comparison with post-rock is a valid one since this is about timbre and texture more than riffs, if you catch my meaning. Or maybe I'm off on an incomprehensible tangent, I have insomnia and my brain isnt working right.

I think I catch your drift. If post-rock's rock that's not focused on rocking, post-porn's porn that's not focused on... porning.

Needless subclassification is of itself fun.
