Ha, I lied! There's actually one more piece from FC2013 to share, but I haven't been able to until now. While at FC, I commissioned Ursula Vernon, author of the absolutely fantastic Digger comic, for a fun little sketch. It was near the end of the con, so she had to accept it as take-home work. It was a spur of the moment thing, I neglected to note it down in my commission records, and I promptly forgot about it. Imagine my surprise when she emailed me to ask for a shipping address!
Here we see the famous but quite humble Digger giving Lizanne some instruction on how to properly swing a pickaxe. She's learning from a real master!

That reminds me! I heard that Ursula Vernon really liked Velociraptor! Cannibalism! the other day. Now I'm going to have to hunt her down and thank her in person!
It's not as easy as Minecraft makes it look! I know from experience, having had to use a pickaxe to uproot very near a hundred Wild Tamarind trees.
Luckily for Liz, she has though tougher, scaled arms. otherwise working a pickaxe for a length of time would likely lead to blisters

Tamarind candy? Little brown balls coated in sugar? Actaully, those are made from the seeds of the Tamarind tree, which bears some similarities to the Wild Tamarind (or perhaps the Wild Tamarind bears some similarities to it >.>) but is much less invasive. The fruit of the Tamarind is a tough pod that holds several seeds, covered in a flesh that has a sour-sweet taste, while those of the wild tamarind are flat pods.
