The bike is pretty good, repairable. The dog fled with the noise, in good condition, I didn't touch him

If the dog wasn't smart enough to stay out of the road, I have no sympathy for it.

Just my personal opinion. I value my own life over an animal that won't stay out of the road.
I would have hit it.

Haha, although depending on what size the dog was, it could have gotten stuck under you and then you'd be in the air anyway!

It's scary to avoid anything on a motorcycle. ;_;

My pops did something interesting with his Hondal goldwing because it was so quiet... He got two of those ultrasonic animal whistle things that you use to scare deer out of the way on forest roads and it works well at scaring dogs out of the road too. Our Shelty would aways go running for the back fence when he was coming up the road in the front of the house.

When I drive on route, I honk the horn to scare animals that I see on the road. in this case I no had chance. but the solution you mention is interesting.

Glad no one was hurt.. except your poor ride. >.< I hope it won't be too difficult & expensive to fix. I low sided a scooter once and made it out with a scratched up mirror, twisted ankle and bloody chin. Haven't dropped my current bike.. yet... *knock on wood*

I was lucky enough, the damage on the bike are mild. and I was using helmet, so I had no wounds in my head, only a small hit on my knee x3
