These are Kearvis. They're mammals (and sort of a mix between a bear, a wolf, and a shark), though they feature rows of shark-like teeth as well as a soft rostrum (nose) with heat sensing pits in them. They can live in most kinds of waters, preferring warmer waters, but it's not uncommon for them to live in the arctic. They prefer carnivorous diets but are capable of digesting plants and fruits. They primarily live on land but hunt in the water. They are very fast swimmers and highly intelligent. Sometimes they will form small packs of between 3 and 7 members for hunting larger prey on land in times of scarce prey underwater.
