I prefer the alternative where an artist reveals to have really subpar commission policies and its found out that the reason why they broke is because its due to horrible spousal abuse from the part of the artist and when stated "ya know, I feel rather skeevy commissioning or working for this fellow" people will start screaming on how "ARTS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE DRAMA!!" and then getting astonished as to why really fucking horrible directors, musicians and others still get jobs and entirely blaming it on the "sheeple".
