Creator of the original tail 
toxikooncreations . She gave me permission to add leds to the tail she made for me :D. We did a trade a few months ago.
I used a basic white led pack for this tail. I wanted to see if I could get the white to show through the colored fur like a stain glass? It kind of worked. I'll probably stick to use white or very light fur colors for leds.In person the leds don't look so blotchy ,but the camera REALLY picks up on the led spots haha.

I have to ask, im looking at getting an upgrade on my suit of mika *photo below* and make her have LED's and light up sometime within the next year or 2. Mika was also created by toxicoon so if I ask her for permission and was granted it and I sent the tail to you, would you be able to modify her tail with lights as well?? :O I would mainly be thinking lights along the green swirl, three dots above that and possibly if its realistic to do: one LED on the outside of her tail on the rainbow on the outside. No clue how well that last one would be since her tail gets picked up and curled a lot due to there being a squeaker in the end. :X

I've always loved that suit! I love all the colors in it >3<!.
I could totally modify your prexisting tail with some leds. Something like this may be a bit expensive due to how many lights you're wanting. I may need to solder a custom led set so we can fit them all XD.
I'm having bit of a hard time understanding the last request with the leds. You're wanting one led along the outside of the tail? Are you wanting it near the tip of the curl :3?
