I've been there, where people randomly tag along with a random friend, eat, and then don't have a dime to pay.
The PROPER thing to do would be to leave their asses there, inform them they fucked up, and have them learn a valuable life lesson in the process.
Alas, I've never once seen this happen, and someone always ends up covering them. Frustrating. =\

I seem to have always lucked out (or maybe Texas furries are better about this), but I've always had the brokefurs say ahead of time (in the "still picking the restaurant phase") that they'd need someone to cover for them, letting the group decide who is gonna pay for their meal or if they're just gonna get left behind at the hotel.
Also, don't abuse energy drinks and stay up for 3-4 days straight and then attempt to drive home. At night. I think I almost died 2-3 times. But I got all my commissions done at that one 8D

This. This so fucking hard. I still remember when my group of 40 raided the local Perkins. We had two tables of 20 each, and we ordered the bottomless pot of coffee. Two of them. For 40 caffeine-starved furs. We only paid around $3 for the coffee that night, and we were there for hours. Can you just imagine how many refills we went through? x3
We're the reason they now require each individual person to order their own coffee. I'm kinda proud of that, actually. <.<
